Sticking to the Cleanse30 When: Busy, Stressed, Tired and/or Traveling

As you may have heard, Season 8 of our Cleanse30 challenge launched this week. We sold out for the 8th season in a row and we’re beyond excited to help people reach their potential. We developed the program with a holistic approach in mind: taking care of the body, mind, and soul.

There’s a lot of struggle on the journey toward your success, but it’s what you do with that struggle that will determine your long-term outlook and ability to reach your goals in a maintainable way. In today’s post, we’re sharing five simple tips for not letting your mind and it’s brilliant excuses trample all over your hard work before, during and even after the cleanse is over. Read on for tips on how to stay prepared, and if you’re interested in learning about our Cleanse30 program don’t forget to check out the Cleanse30 website for a wealth of information!

1. Stay Ahead of Starvation
Picture this: you had every intention of staying the course while on your trip. You’re at the airport and you ate your delicious Cleanse30 compliant snack and now you’re hanging out cool as a cucumber. And them BAM – hunger strikes again. Suddenly that donut at the airport starts to look very appealing. It’s calling your name and whispering sweet nothings, sugary bliss wafting your way.

Added to the stress of traveling, your willpower unravels at warp speed and you start to feel hopeless and helpless. Once you get there, things can go downhill pretty quickly. Make sure to snack on something before you reach that point of desperation where you’re scanning for anything to satisfy the hunger monster. And also make sure to have enough on hand. Which leads us to our next point …

2. Have An Emergency Kit
Keep Cleanse30 compliant bars, nuts/seeds and other goodies on hand that don’t require refrigeration. Keep them in your purse, your desk at work, your car – anywhere you might find yourself in a “hunger emergency”.

3. Make A List of Cleanse30 Friendly Food Venues
Using your Allowed Foods List, scope out the different places that can customize things or have menu items that align with the program. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or call ahead; this is your health and your life, and you are worth a few questions to make sure you’re sticking to the goals you set out to accomplish!

4. Prep Ahead
We’re like broken records with this one and for good reason. Prepping ahead is THE best way to reduce stress throughout the week. Think of it as a deposit into your energy and willpower bank account, and you make small withdrawals throughout the week, versus starting at zero and slowly going more and more negative as the week wears on.A popular prep day is Sunday; put on a good playlist, make a list of what you’re prepping and then set a time limit. Prepping ahead is especially good for busy schedules. No more scrambling last minute after a long day or rushing to make something in the morning when you’re already late for that important meeting.

5. Bring Your Lunch
Every. single. day. Your goals and your wallet will thank you. It’s okay to be “that person” who brings a huge cooler of food to the office everyday. So what? You’re on a mission to change your life, and those who have your best interest will celebrate your mini victories. You’ll not only save at least $10 per day, you’ll reach a new milestone: blending healthy habits with your life beyond your time with the Cleanse30. It will become second nature to be prepared and bring your own lunch.

There you have it! 5 highly effective and simple ways to stay the course with your Cleanse30. Have you done a prior season? Have some tips we didn’t include above? Share in the comments!

Until Next Time,

Prep ahead is the best thing I think one can do! I haven’t been as prepared this time around and it has been harder to stick to it. As a result I am having less variety and becoming bored with my food.

Yes such a good point Tim! Being prepared is the most essential part of any plan. It’s actually good you are seeing the difference so you can appreciate taking the time to be prepared as you go forward. Keep up the awesome work!

I like the idea of preparing meals and snacks ahead of time. i am person who runs to get food after a long day at work so I know this is going to be the most helpful step for me to take.

The last week of the cleanse I will be on a cruise to Alaska. I am already trying to mentally prepare how exactly I am going to stick to eating cleanse approved food/ somewhat healthy.

I had to create a “schedule” for my water consumption. When I wake up, I drink a 24 oz bottle, before work. During the work day I consume 64 oz.(2 32 oz bottles). Then after work I drink another 24 oz. This “schedule” keeps me on track to consume the necessary water each day.

That’s a great method for staying on track!

This is so timely since I am traveling on day 1! I almost thought to skip today and start tomorrow to make it easy, but then said to myself why is tomorrow different? And here I am….. following all the rules =)

I’ve been keeping emergency kits at work, which really helps during all the birthdays that we celebrate (lots of cake at the office).

Bringing my lunch to work has been key in my success so far. Instead of choosing poor choices due to hunger I now just reach for my pre packed lunch and healthy snacks.

I will definitely try to stick to those habits. I massively need to start prepare lunch for work… it will definitely save me a lot of money and most importantly I will stop depositing fat in my body account 😉

I make jar salads twice a week. They have saved me countless times! I’ve gone from never eating salads to craving them.

Meal prepping helps out a lot. It’s a pain but saves us time and money during the week.

Meal prep is the best. I have been doing for sometime now. It takes stress out of your life. Now to meal prep a bit healthier!

Looking up menus of restaurants before traveling and taking healthy snacks on road trips!

  13. Rosalie October 23, 2017 at 9:32 pm - Reply

Can someone please enlighten me: what are the Cleanse30 compliant bars?

    • Sham Sanghera October 24, 2017 at 3:42 pm - Reply

As far as bars you can purchase, essentially you want to find anything with no added sugar – which can be very hard to find. You are better off making them on your own while cleansing. In your e-book there should be a recipe for Almond Protein Bars. Very delicious and homemade. They are “raw” as well so they don’t need to be baked!

I love the idea of having an “Emergency Kit” with you with all of the healthy “cleanse-approved” snacks so you never find yourself in a tough situation!

I don’t go anywhere without healthy food and water! In the glove compartment, in my purse, in my backpack, in my pocket, or just carrying lemon water around with me – especially at work!

I love the idea to stay ahead of starvation. I just started the Cleanse and the biggest difference I noticed is that I am never hungry! I eat every 2 to 4 hours before I even hit the point of hungry. It has made a huge difference!
