“I started working with Sham in February 2010 and was very impressed with his knowledge, experience, and overall patience. I had a difficult time losing weight despite the fact that I had exercised regularly for over 20 years. I could not believe that I was doing anything wrong as I thought I ate well, kept active, and did not give up on myself! All my life I had a weight problem – as far back as I can remember. However, as an adult, my main issue was that I was diagnosed in 2001 with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and for women with this problem, it is extremely difficult to lose weight and not have to take insulin medicine for the rest of our lives. Many women with PCOS struggle on a daily basis with their weight and it seemed that nothing would work for me. I went to three different doctors who all told me that I needed to stay on my medication (glucophage) and try to exercise more and eat less. Needless to say, I left their offices feeling less than happy with myself as that was exactly what I was doing all along.
I chose to use Sham’s four week healthy food plan to help jump start my weight loss and to determine if any foods were causing problems. I could almost immediately see results! I enjoyed my new food choices, looked forward to making more meals at home (saved money too!), and even my husband was thrilled to get good, down-to-earth meals all the time now. Even though he didn’t know it, he TOO was on Sham’s four week healthy plan.
The results? I lost 15 pounds and 17.5” inches – 6” alone from my waist. What’s really great is that during this period of time, the only exercise I did was light treadmill and elliptical machine work. It was amazing just how much eating certain foods really caused problems for me in the past that I didn’t know about. I discovered wheat/gluten sensitivities, excess inflammation from sugars, and lactose problems with dairy. I am also, thanks to Sham, off my insulin medicine for the first time in nine years and I am also off my cholesterol medicine. Speaking of medicine, my husband suffers from bad allergies and he no longer has to take a daily allergy pill. His immune system has rebounded with his new healthy food choices and he’s feeling great too,
Sham showed me a great, quick exercise regime that I enjoy performing. I now only spend 35-40 minutes exercising (4-5 times per week) and it’s nice to finally be taught how to exercise without the need of gym equipment. It’s been months since I’ve stepped on the treadmill or glided on the elliptical and I don’t miss either one! I thank Sham for saving me time and teaching me the skills I need to succeed.
